Our skincare and candle lines are handcrafted with care in small batches in our home studio in West Michigan, with a focus on creating natural, cruelty-free and eco-friendly products with a clean minimalist aesthetic.
I founded Wicked Soaps Co. in 2009 after a soapmaking habit turned into a small side hustle and I had more soap than I and my friends and family could reasonably use. (Fun fact -- the name Wicked Soaps came from my original desire to create a fairytale inspired soap line).
Over the years there have been many changes to our products, lineup, and branding, but during quarantine in the Spring of 2020, I turned my focus into making WSC a full-time enterprise. I began the transition to natural skincare, eliminating plastic containers, introducing subscription boxes, and overhauling the WSC brand to reflect my own personal lifestyle and values – simple, natural, and clean.
Recycling, composting, and reducing waste plays a large role in our household and business. Our products are packaged in recyclable and reusable glass, metal, and paper containers and shipped using repurposed or biodegradable packaging materials. Instead of disposing of boxes, plastic bubble wrap, air cushioning, and packing peanuts received in supply shipments, we reuse them when shipping out our orders – and any packaging materials we do purchase are plastic-free and biodegradable such as kraft padded envelopes, corrugated cardboard wrap, cardboard boxes, and biodegradable cornstarch packing peanuts.
As my two cats Frodo and Samwise will attest, we are advocates and lovers of all our furry friends. Therefore, all of our products are tested only on willing friends and family, never on animals.
Because what we use on our body is just as important as what we put in it, we focus on using natural ingredients wherever possible.
